Imam Bahaeddin Budak, who was not only placed in the spotlight on this blog, but on a few others - the popular Dutch blog GeenStijl being one of them - is now reaping the benefits of advising a rape victim to not go into a room alone with a man anymore.
INHolland college, where he trains imam’s, is not very pleased with his advise and the media attention it received, and it is not unlikely Budak will receive a pink-slip in the mail very soon.
Burak himself was startled by the media attention as well. Although he still feels he gave the girl sound advise, the angry responses from the community made him ask Nioweb to remove the article. Nioweb refused at first, stating they thought it would be bad journalism to remove it. So Burak decided to part with Nioweb completely and therefore, all articles including the rape-advise were removed. Their statement can be found here (fair waring; it’s in Dutch). Luckily for us, we’ll always have Google Cache.
I guess he won’t be giving raped Muslim girls shitty advise anymore.
Some of you not living in Europe probably think we are doing something amazing by forging the countries of Europe into one big fat superstate which in time might become the new world power. Well, let’s just say that things are happening in Europe which are worrying the crap out of me and many Europeans with me, and should worry the crap out of you. You can leave your tin-foil hat at home, unfortunately what I am about to say is pretty much correct.
Certain European politicians seem to be bend on creating a new fascist state in Europe on the foundries of the European Union, or at the very least, want to create a European superpower whether we - the people of Europe - want it or not. But I’d call that a fascist state and definitely not a democracy, wouldn’t you?
Prime example of this is the European Constitution. They made it, we said ‘NO’. Referendums where held in France and the Netherlands (I voted “no’ by the way) and in both countries a majority was against the Constitution. Especially for the Dutch government, this was a slap in the face. The Netherlands has always been very pro-EU and having the people say NO to the Constitution more than embarrassed them. When the results came in, the government didn’t say “Crap, you people really didn’t like this, now did you?’ but stated ‘How can you say no to Europe? I guess you did not understand it correctly, so we just need to explain it more clearly.’ Well fellows, we understood it just fine and we didn’t like it. Hence the ‘no’. Assholes.
Of course, they could not take this laying down, so when the Constitution was changed a bit, the Dutch government decided they would not have a new referendum, and they would tell the European Parliament we would agree on the new Constitution. Yes, prime minister Balkenende and his bunch of marry men (and women) know what is best for us. What we think of the matter means nothing; we are just the idiots that voted these asshats into office. It’s not like the Netherlands is a democracy, or is it?
Of course, the European Union wants to pass the Constitution at all cost. The big fat ‘FUCK YOU’ coming from France and the Netherlands made them realize they’d never pass the Constitution in a million years if they have something as democratic as a referendum, despite the fact a few countries like Spain had a more positive result. It has to be unanimous, and they’ll never get that from us. So they removed references to the Constitution from the Constitution, mixed the contents around a bit, changed the cover and named it the Treaty of Lisbon. And of course, the European politicians are stumbling over each other to gratify the damn thing, fourteen of the twenty six states have already done so… whether their voters agreed with it or not.
The biggest problem I have with the European Union is that it is a highly undemocratic institution, pretending to be very democratic, constantly expanding its power, spending enormous amounts of money on complete idiocy and the biggest opportunity for civil servants and politicians to grab some money over the backs of hardworking decent Europeans. Let me clarify.
For a very long time the EU couldn’t agree on either Brussels or Strasbourg as the location for the parliament. The only agreement they could form was to rotate between the two, which meant that part of the civil servants and politicians were constantly moving between the two cities. This of course costs a very large sum of money every single year, all paid for by the European tax-payer. If that isn’t squandering cash, I’m a creationist. And this is just ONE example; there are many more, great and small.
The most recent - yet definitely not the first - scandal in the Union was the fact that some of the politicians where hiring family members as assistants, paying them a ridiculously high salary and letting the European Union (yes, again the tax payer) pick up the tab for it. And of course, the family member was only an assistant by name. The true work was done by a real assistant who had a much less abundant salary. Once this became known, they agreed to pass a rule of conduct that firmly stated family members where no longer allowed to be employed by EU parliament members. This of course hurt the few members who really did hire a family member who was paid a normal wage and really did do the work, but it shut everybody up about the latest method of self-enrichment some of the politicians had cooked up. I’m sure many parliament members are already brewing on the next scam they can pull to earn an extra few bucks on top of their salary and expenditures, all of which are paid by the tax-payers.
Now, for the undemocratic part. Yes, there is one on top of the way they are trying to ram the Constitution down our throats. It’s they way they are making decisions that effect all European citizens. Here’s how it works. A group of civil servants from each member state with a specialty in a certain field (say environment) come together and conduct a meeting on (for instance) pollution restrictions. They agree on a certain percentage, draw up a Directive and kick it up hill, where it lands on the desk of the commissioner in charge of environmental issues (a high ranking civil servant, not an elected official). He looks at the Directive, thinks it’s okay because he’s all for a cleaner environment. He bumps the Directive to the European Commission, who in return are also all in favor of a cleaner environment and then pass the Directive on to the European Council. Now this bunch of sad-ass numb-nuts (namely the leaders of government of all member states) decided in a three minute discussion to let Turkey become a member state in the near future. Guess how long they will debate this new directive on the reduction of pollution? I’m guessing they won’t even read it. So the Directive is passed and becomes somewhat of a law in all European countries; all countries need to comply to the Directive.
Now somewhere in (for example) the Netherlands, the government was building a new freeway to connect two previously unconnected large urban areas, thus increasing traffic efficiency and reducing traffic jams in that area. This in return reduces costs (or more to the point loss) for a large number of companies operating in that area, and stimulates economic growth in the region, and possibly even reducing pollution (less traffic jams means less fumes from cars stuck in traffic). But the new Directive states that member states are not allowed to construct new roads between urban areas for the next ten years to reduce an increase in pollution levels. Because the European Directive is mandatory to follow and is above local rules, agreements and laws, the road is not allowed to be finished, traffic further builds up and time (and thus money) lost in cars and trucks stuck in traffic is increasing loss in the companies which were depending on the new freeway, which is put on hold for ten years thanks to the Directive. During these ten years, the traffic problem there will increase up to the point that when the freeway is allowed to be finished (ten years down the road) either a new Directive will prevent it from being constructed again, or it won’t solve the problem anymore because the problen has outgrown the solution.
Does this sound crazy to you? Well this is how Europe works at the moment. And have you noticed something else? Yes, correct, you smart person you; where in this process where a stupid idea was made law did any elected body VOTE on the matter? The European Parliament can not be found in any of these steps. This is because they don’t have a final say in the matter, the European Council has that. If parliament votes against something, and the Council wants to pass it anyway, they do and no one can stop them from doing it.
In the Treaty of Lisbon, the parliament will get more power, but the Commission still cannot be held accountable by anyone; they can pretty much do whatever they want. If the US would implement such a structure in their government, you can be sure Europe will be crying out this is a bad thing and the final step before the US will become a police state… while they themselves are implementing this very structure into a government which will - if the Treaty is gratified by all member states - be one of the largest nations in the world today (the US has 300 million citizens, Europe with its current member state count will have almost 500 million citizens).
Now, you might think all our politicians are either letting this all happen or are at the helm. Well, a few party’s in the European parliament are opposed to the Treaty of Lisbon, and the idea of turning Europe into some totalitarian state. But most of these small party’s are exactly that; small party’s. Still, if you are trying to do something like this, you don’t want anyone in parliament pointing out this is a bad idea. In fact, within the European Union, it is ‘not done’ to criticize Europe much as in the US, certain critique is immediately labeled as ‘unpatriotic’. Guess what, the people that are trying to turn Europe into this massive state have found a new way to silence these voice.
The UK based paper The Telegraph published an article on this the 27th, which read: “Plans to eliminate Eurosceptics as an organized opposition within the European Parliament are expected to be agreed by a majority of MEPs this summer.” And by eliminating party’s like UKIP from parliament, they’ll truly be able to do whatever the hell they want to Europe, without any opposition. The 2009 EU elections are vital to the gratification of the Treaty of Lisbon, and if the Euroskeptic party’s either loose ground or are locked out completely by these dishonest wretches, you can be sure the European Union superpower will be a fact, with all of it’s idiot and undemocratic structures firmly in place, and there won’t be a damn thing anyone can do about it.
Let’s see Nigel Farage from UKIP in action while we still can:
On the who’s who in the EU commission:
Taking a poke at the German president Angela Merkel:
Asking the Portugese prime minister for a referendum:
Confronting Barroso on ignoring the will of the people:
And last but definately not least… Chicken Run in the EU parliament:
Recently in the US, the wiretap reports for 2007 were released. Some voices are worried about the fact that there seems to be an increase in taps compared to 2006, one of which is the ACLU. The total number of taps for security services in 2007 was 2370 (in 2000 it was 1012). The police was responsible for 2208 taps. 94% Of these taps where placed on cellphones, 81% of taps where used in drug-related cases and 30% of intercepted calls contained case-related information. The average tap costed the tax-payer $ 48,477. The taps lead to 4830 arrests and 984. 50% Of the taps where placed in New York and California, in half of the US states, not a single tap was placed in 2007.
If you think this is something to worry about, that the US government is listening in on way to many people, then take a look at the Dutch figures. And do keep in mind there are 300 million of you and 16 million of us. Here goes:
In 2007, based on figures of the second half of 2007, the Dutch police placed a total of 1681 phone taps daily.
Yes, dear reader. I’m not kidding. DAILY. Every single fucking day almost half the taps the entire US places in a year. In 2007, 12.491 phones in total where monitored by our police. Figures of what our secret service has been up to where not even realesed, so there are probably a lot more taps. And it gets worse; this is all we know. Just this number. Whether or not these taps were effective, why they were placed, or if they even lead to a single arrest or conviction is unknown to us, the citizens of the Netherlands.
Now, you might think this is a sudden increase, or a trend we could have seen coming years ago, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Justice department and the ministry have been keeping a tight lid on these sort of figures ever since the phone-tap was invented. When parliament ordered the minister years ago to cough up the figures, the next years he damn well made sure no one was keeping score, so there would be no figures to give. Other years they were simply labeled a ‘top secret’ and no one was allowed to see them. If this behavior doesn’t worry you, I think there is something deeply and disturbingly wrong with you. It is worrying the crap out of me.
Privacy is a big issue in the Netherlands. The ministry of Justice (yes, Ernst, I’m on your ass again, you stupid scary-ass fucker) simply does not want us to have any, an aspiration he shares with the previous minister of Justice, Donner (who is also a Christian Democrat by the way). ISP’s were recently required by law to keep records on what every single one of their customers is doing online and keep these records around for a few years. Now, the minister is having a fib over anonymous surfing in libraries and prepaid cellphones where one can easily place phone calls without anyone knowing who owns the prepaid card used. What the ministry wants is to basically know what the hell everyone is doing at any given time. If that doesn’t sound like George Orwell has written it, I don’t know. Orwell was ahead of his time, but the Netherlands is slowly getting to 1984.
Translated for your ease (saves you all having to learn Dutch):
Many Muslims have questions about their faith or doubt on how certain regulations should be used in daily life. Many non-Muslims don’t understand Islam’s rules of are merely curious about Islam. Every week, Nioweb pays a visit to an imam who then answers a question send in by a viewer. This week, imam Bahaeddin Budak answers the following question:
I’m a Turkish girl, age 17. I have a very big problem and I do not know how to handle it. I’ve recently been raped by my cousin. I can’t talk to anyone about this, least of all my family. They will cast me out. What is the verdict on this within Islam?
Dear sister,
What happened to you is very sad. I understand why you can’t tell your family about your problem. I do not know of the nature of your relationship with your cousin and how it came to be that he had the guts to rape you. I will try to answer your question from all angles.
Allah says in the Qur’an: “And come not near unto adultery. Lo! it is an abomination and an evil way.” (Surat Al-Isra 32 / Surah 17:32)
The prophet Muhammed (peace be with him) says: “Whenever a man is alone with a woman the Devil makes a third.” (Hadith - Ahmad and Al-Tirmidhi 3118, Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab, Tirmidhi transmitted it.)
From the above quotes, I would like to say that as man we are asked to protect ourselves against sexual abuse, rape and adultary. Caution is not only needed when concerning strangers, but also people known to us, because man - whether known or unknown have both good and bad in them. If the bad parts within his character are more strongly evolved, it will not matter who he is with. You are wise not to be in a closed room when a third person has no easy access to it.
In Islam, it is clear that sex before the nikah is not permitted. This is a big sin. If this person goes as far as committing rape, this is an even bigger sin in the eyes of Allah. As long as you do not forgive him, Allah will punish him for his act in the afterlife.
You can do the following;
a) Seeing we live in a country where rape is punishable by law, you can go to a judge and prosecute him.
b) If you fear being exiled by your family over something you carry no blame for, it is better not to tell your family. In this case, you must ensure he does not abuse this situation any further. If he does intend to do this, I advise you to tell someone so your cousin will fear this. Do not allow yourself to be abused and do not hesitate to speak to someone you trust on this matter.
c) You can forgive him and agree [with him] this will never happen again. This is, of course, the most difficult thing you can do.
May Allah give you wisdom and strength.
As seen on Nioweb. I can’t believe he even dared to propose option ‘c’. By adding to this statement that this is the most difficult thing to do, he (in my opinion) add a certain moral high ground to it. As if it would be the most brave and noble thing for her to do.
And even more strange, he also neglected to mention what the hadith say about illegal sex by an unmarried man (which seems to apply to this poor girl’s situation): “Allah’s Apostle ordered that an unmarried man who committed illegal sexual intercourse be scourged one hundred lashes and sent into exile for one year.” (Hadith - Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 48, Number 817, Narrated Zaid bin Khalid).
Nowhere does he tell the girl to seek psychological help to deal with the trauma of being raped, and that any physician handling her case is not allowed by law to talk to anyone about it without her consent, including her family.
Think of this case next time someone tries to convince you women have equal rights in Islam.
Since Muslim fundy’s made the Danish cartoon (the prophet with the turban bomb) famous, we in the Netherlands have our own little private shit storm. Yes; it is all about cartoons, appeasement, politics and freedom of speech.
A cartoonist which publishes as Gregorius Nekschot (a pseudonym, ‘nekschot’ means a (gun)shot to the neck but is commonly used in Dutch slang as an expression of well deserved punishment) was arrested on the thirteenth of May at his private residence by roughly ten (TEN!) police officers. His computer was impounded and so were his mobile phone, CD’s, DVD’s and backups. He also spend a night in jail, since he was detained for questioning for thirty hours. No, this man was not a drug dealer, he also was not an armed and dangerous wanted criminal, but a guy who draws cartoons who are sometimes very critical towards Islam.
The reason Nekschot was arrested is most likely charges filed as early as in 2005 on behalf of fundamentalist Islamic preacher Abdul Jabbar van de Ven, who was often target of Nekschot’s cartoons along with the (religious) ideologies he stands by. Our minister of Justice, Hirsch Ballin - yes, the twat that recently wanted to expand on the article on blasphemy in Dutch law - has stated that Nekschot was arrested on the basis of six or seven (I guess counting is hard for him) different complaints filed with the police. It took them three years to trace the actual man behind the alias of ‘Gregorius Nekschot’, something critics of the arrest say is ridiculous and shouldn’t have taken them that long.
The arrest itself has caused some turmoil in both Dutch society as well as our politicians. Arresting a guy who draws pictures as if dealing with a hardened criminal is overkill to say the least and several politicians have spoken out against this. Nekschot was arrested on charges of ‘intentionally insulting a certain group within the population’ and ’spreading hatred’. Of course most Muslim imam’s do this every single day in their sermons in the Netherlands, but if a guy draws cartoons to do the same, he is lifted from his bed by ten cops.
Nekschot recently said in an interview that he can only think about his arrest in political terms. After pointing out Hirsch Ballin’s desire to expand the blasphemy legislation he stated; “This is a nasty trend. All someone has to do is file charges and journalists, comedians and cartoonists can be arrested as criminals.” He himself claims he works within the boundaries of freedom of speech and no institution in the Netherlands has ever told him he is doing anything which is against the law. Now that he has been arrested and is facing charges, Nekschot is scared. If his true identity becomes known, he could be the victim of revenge by certain groups he has insulted with his work. “I’m not using that pseudonym without a very good reason,” he states. Within this context, he fears conviction and is afraid being send to prison will cost him his life.
Some politicians agree with Nekschot on his assumption that he has become the center of a political plot. Yes, it sounds very ‘tin-foil hat’ at first, but remember that the minister of Justice would like to see blasphemy expanded against the will of the majority of parliament. The plot thickens. Because he can’t push a change of law past parliament (he lacks the majority of votes in favor of his idea to do it), he is trying to get a judge to convict someone (Nekschot) on the basis of blasphemy, thus creating jurisprudence and thus circumventing parliament in getting his way. With a conviction and the therefore created jurisprudence, these kind of cartoons (or any other way of being critical towards certain religions or groups) can become illegal. Of course, by doing this he creates two victims; the freedom of speech in the Netherlands and Gregorius Nekschot. Nekschot of course makes a nice target because he published a leaked concept letter from Hirsch Ballin on the expansion of blasphemy, thus making himself an enemy of our fine Roman-Catholic minister who feels God needs humans to defend his honor here on earth.
Hirsch Ballin is digging a rather deep hole for himself by stating there was nothing political about the arrest. This week, it has become known the previous minister of Justice was also confronted with the charges filed against Nekschot, but he refused to authorize the District Attorney to pursue the matter any further. But when the name came up when Donner was no longer a minister and Hirsch Ballin was, he saw no reason NOT to let the D.A. investigate the matter further and prosecute Nekschot if possible. The D.A. itself states that the three year period between the first charges filed and the arrest can’t be explained by the inability to find the man behind the pseudonym, but that in fact they picked up the case as late as October 2007 and only than began to search for the true identity of the cartoonist. This statement debunks Hirsch Ballin’s own public statements, so during this week’s political debate on the matter in parliament, he suddenly claimed he never meant to say that it took the D.A. three years to discover who Nekschot really was.
Leader of the socialist Groen Links (GreenLeft) party stated during the debate; “Some people find Nekschot’s cartoons hilarious, some find them in poor taste. It seems the minister wants to prosecute poor taste.” A grasp from the more controversial cartoons Nekschot made; the prophet Muhammed doing his child-bride Aisha from behind, Jesus doing Muhammed from behind and a Chinese man doing a lama from behind. The eight cartoons that warranted Nekschot’s arrest and were removed from his website can be found here.
To make the entire case even more surreal, the prime target of Nekschot’s cartoons - Muslims - have spoken out against the arrest of the cartoonist. The Union of Moroccan Imam’s stated yesterday: “Debat is a healthy thing, one should be allowed to say anything.” Chairman Yassin Elforkani claims that if Nekschot was arrested only for his cartoons, he would find that very surprising. He also says he feels freedom of speech is important and how far one can take her arguments is not for a judge to decide, but common decency. It is the third time Muslims in the Netherlands have spoken out against appeasement and the protective posture some have taken up on their behalf; they didn’t care much about Fitna (we had no riots of protests over it), the local mosque in Huizen thought removing art with boobs in them from city hall was unnecessary and no Muslim was ever asked if they really where offended, and now they are making it clear that they don’t even feel insulted enough by the cartoons of Nekschot to support his arrest in any way.
Still, even though the position most Dutch Muslims seem to have taken in this case - however admirable it is - doesn’t make it a done deal in favor of Nekschot. This is not about appeasement, even though that has been a true plague in Europe the past few years. This is about a Christian hypocrite trying to get his way and abusing someone who is critical and uses cartoons to make his point to impose his idea on justice on the rest of us. A minister of Justice who pulls a stunt of this magnitude, who gave the D.A. permission to arrest a cartoonist on these charges should not be minister of anything, but least of all minister of Justice. I can only hope the politicians stand by the opinion of many of their constituents and demand Hirsch Ballin to step down from office, and if he doesn’t, send the currently elected government packing.
In the rural Veenendaal (situated in the Dutch Bible Belt), the local SGP (Reformed Political Party) objected to an advertisement for Kellogg’s All Bran Fruit ‘n Fibre. They state the poster is “shocking, insulting and very painful for the most of the population. As if the original sin means nothing.”
The poster itself (or at least the English version of it) can be viewed here in Coloribus’ Ad Archive.
Of course the SGP want the posters out of their town and for the city to object to the company that placed them there to be a little more mindful of the feelings of the Christian populous of their fair (and highly Christian) city.
This weekend I got my first comment from an evangelical Christian, going by the name of “rshalomw”. To celebrate this fact, I’d figure I’d give this commenter some of my special love and attention (you know you love it).
First of all, I would like to congratulate you. You are a Christian, following the true path of the Lord and thus assured to get a nice cozy place in Heaven. Good thing you were not born in China, or Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. If you were born there, you wouldn’t be a Christian (but perhaps a Buddhist or a Muslim) and would have gone straight to hell. Lucky you. Congratulations on that luck of the draw. And too bad for those people that are born in those places. But God loves geographically drawn cultural and religious boundaries; end up on the wrong side of the gate and you are screwed.
No one knows for sure that they will have another day to live. Eternity is something that most don’t think about, but is essential to ponder. If your name is not written in the Book of Life you will spend forever and ever in the fires of Hell. It is not God’s will for you to perish but to come to Salvation.
I can totally agree on the first two sentences. And I do ponder those things. The Book of Life - as some of you might know - is something mentioned in Revelations (20:15). Here’s my first question; a being like God, who created the Universe and such, should or would have a brain the size of a planet. Or a solar system. But he needs a book to keep tabs on those who’s been nice enough to be excluded from hell? If it isn’t God’s will to perish, then he shouldn’t discriminate me for my healthy skepticism towards him, and judge me for my actions on earth. I mean, he’s all omnipotent and compared to him, I’m less than an ant. What does he care if I believe he exists or not? But on the other hand, being judged by your actions is what the Bible says; “and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Revelations 20:12). That suggests that I will be judged on my actions and not weather or not I believe in God or Jesus. Guess you missed that little part of scripture while you were quote-mining and twisting the Bible to fit your screwed-up beliefs.
Yeshua (JESUS) took the punishment you deserved and died for you on the cross, but HE rose on the third day as proof that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Ah, the “Jesus died for your sins” card. Didn’t take you long to play that one. And why do you call him Yeshua? After reading that, I’m amazed you don’t refer to God as Yahweh (or even worse: JHWH). I’m assuming you are probably a Jewish Christian or something like that. Or you want to give the impression you are an expert in scripture. Well, as Pat Condell stated in one of his video blogs; I’m being billed for something I did not order. I did not ask Jesus to let himself get nailed to a big wooden cross, and he never asked me if I was okay with that. And to be honest, he was the son of God, so it couldn’t have hurt that much. A couple of days later he was off to Heaven. Boy, what an ordeal. I’m curious on what I did to deserve being nailed to a cross, as you state (“took the punishment you deserved”). You don’t know enough about me to even make that claim.
The Bible says that our life on this earth is like a vapor compared to eternity. Don’t be foolish and waste your life away. You will be proved wrong in the end and for all eternity regret that you would not listen to truth.
Truth is suggestive. Very. It is why science is the search for fact, not truth. That is in the eye of the beholder. I could be right in my views on how the world is how it is, the Jews could be right, the Muslims could be right, the Hindu’s could be right. If the Hindu’s are right, you’d probably be reincarnated as a gay atheist with deeply religious parents, living in the American Bible Belt or a lesbian Muslim wife in Pakistan. If the Hindu’s are right, I wish you the best of luck in your next life because it will truly be hell on earth.
The Bible says that there is a way that seems right to a man (or woman) but at its end are that ways of death.
So what you are saying is I could be the most charitable and nicest person on earth but go to hell, and an obnoxious selfish asshole who happens to believe in God will go to heaven (after repenting his sins just in the nick of time before he dies of course). If you want to live in a world that works like that and you think that is fair, there is something seriously wrong with you.
No one on this earth has experienced God;s full Wrath, but that day is quickly approaching. He an all Holy God, and until you realize that you are utterly hopeless without Him, you will remain lost. The Bible says that all our righteousness is as filthy rags (this includes any goodness we make think we have. ) Hell will be full of good people. The only thing that can be good in us is when Yeshua lives within us.
So if I save a school bus full of children, I’m not really a good person, but if I masturbate on the idea that Jesus actually exist I am? Well, park that school bus over a cliff, because I’d rather be a bad person in your warped view than a good person in your warped view. And if the world hasn’t seen God’s full wrath yet, I’m pretty curious what he has in store for us. I mean; he flooded the entire place, blew up at least cities, ordered or was indirectly responsible for the murder of millions and millions of people over the course of history, and he allowed Pat Robertson to be born. How wrathful does it get? Of course, I dispute the fact that I am lost. In my opinion, you are lost and have wandered far from the little place I’d like to call ‘reality’.
Repent (turn from your ways and mindset) and surrender your life to Yeshua, He will cleanse you and make you whole. Don’t waste another moment of your life. Time is not on your side.
“Don’t waste another moment of your life.” Now that single sentence is very important. To me the most important in your entire ’sermon’. Because that is what you are doing. It is you who is wasting his/her life. You bent over backwards to please an imaginary friend, alienating yourself further and further from reality and the rest of humanity.
If you are right, heaven will be full of people like you. If that is so, you and your friends will spend eternity kissing God’s ass the way you are doing here on earth, because it is the only way you know how to act. Heaven will not be ‘heaven’, but you will grovel at God’s feet for the rest of eternity in his servitude. And for reasons beyond me, you are looking forward to that. I’d take hell over that any day, because heaven the way you see it is truly a place I’d call hell.
So thanks, but no thanks. You can preach all you want, but I think I’ll hang with this not-believing-in-supernatural-bully-deities-crap until I die (which will be between now and roughly fifty years). I think it’ll work out in the end, because when I die, I’ll have a nice life to look back upon. And to be honest, I feel pity for you because you have such a warped view of reality which is effectively making you waste the precious time you have on this world. But that is your own choice. Or the choice hammered into your head by indoctrinating parents. Either way, thanks for the suggestion, but I won’t be converting to Christianity - or any other religious dogma for that matter - just yet.
Yes, our Dutch Muslims and their dhimmi politicians have done it again.
In the city halls of the city of Huizen, some infidel artist’s paintings decorated the walls of this fine place and of course a few righteous Muslims could not stand the sight of very confronting female nudity. They complained to the city and of course, who immediately bended over backwards and informed the artist that they would remove her indecent work. The Muslims of Huizen are now once again free to walk the corridors of city hall without having to fear being exposed to our immoral society and it’s artistic expression.
The highly immoral painting which was removed (I advise sending your young out of the room to protect their innocent minds):
Yes, the title of this blog may seem strange to many non-Dutch readers, but in my honest opinion it is true to the point that blasphemy is currently one of the pieces of duct-tape keeping the Dutch government (a coalition of wannabe-socialists and Christian numb-nuts) together. Let me explain.
Blasphemy is punishable by Dutch law. Yes, it’s an old law and rarely used against citizens, but it is still around and people have been convicted on the bases of it’s existence. You can guess who are glaring at it now, water dripping from the mouth… Yes; fanatical Muslims, hoping to fire it against anyone expressing criticism of Islam or it’s prophet. And our fine politically correct Christians would love to expand it (and some have recently expressed their desire to do so - include other religions such as Islam - and thus stomping any public critique or skepticism on religions into the ground), just to get in a lawsuit or two in themselves against anyone critical on their warped view of reality. Unfortunately for them, the majority of the parliament isn’t Christian parties, and this majority (mostly socialists and liberals, including the socialist party in the government) want to toss it out. And since they have the majority of votes, they can.
But they won’t (and can’t). Because if they try to get rid of it, the two Christian parties in the government will protest and drop out of the government, leaving politics no other choice then to start up elections before the normal 4 years cycle of an elected body due to a fallen government. And the socialists are not willing to do this over blasphemy, especially because they are at an all-time low in the polls at the moment. This leaves the two Christian parties in government to come up with a wide range of Christian-based legislation, idiotic ideas and questionable statements, and they are only slapped back by the socialist if the go a little overboard. For instance, our Prime-Minister was on a religious evangelical television-show recently and stated he “could not imagine non-religious people able to function at all.” The socialists only started to remind Balkenende of the fact that he was supposed to be the head of a secular state when there was much public outrage on the internet about the statement.
An even worse fact is that the Christians have not been part of the government for over 10 years until a few years back (we had a socialists / democrats / liberals coalition during that time). They could have easily scratched blasphemy from the law then without much hassle accept for a slight stirring over at the Christians side of parliament (but not enough to stop parlaiment from passing the initiative to boot it out of the law-books) and they even considered it… but at that time felt it was not important enough to bother. And now it’s biting them - and us - in the ass. Great thinking, stupid morons!
It’s nice to live in a secular state. Or so I hear. Can anyone actually living in one tell me if that is true? Thanks.
